About Us
At HFCSeattle.com, a dedicated team of students from Rainier Valley Leadership Academy (RVLA), participating in the King County Best Starts for Kids (BSK) Program coordinated by Heritage Youth Leadership Development, a non-profit organization, works to address critical challenges in our community’s access to housing, food, and clothing.
Using the programming and problem-solving skills they developed through this initiative, the young people in our program created a centralized online resource hub to support individuals and families in need. Even as emerging technologists, we are driven by a shared belief in technology’s power to create meaningful, community-centered impact.
Our Mission
Is to connect individuals and families with vital resources, meet urgent needs, and advocate for their rights. We work to make it easier to access housing, food, and clothing assistance while building a supportive, inclusive community.
Our Vision
We envision a compassionate and inclusive Greater Seattle where every individual has reliable access to safe housing, nutritious food, and adequate clothing. Through technology and innovation, we aim to remove barriers to essential resources and improve the quality of life for all community members.
